Default Coolant Smell no Visible coolant or coolant in oil????

I have a 97 Deville that just turned 100k yesterday...Rubs like a champ minus a few little problems, Front struts and Rear sits to low think the bags are cracked from age....To the topic now.....Driving my deville when it is hot or when in traffic you get a smell of coolant. I always get out pop hood and inspect top leftside of motor where the smell is coming from???? Any techs or members out there that have come across a similiar problem??? I have not ran the codes yet.. I just got the process of the forum.. Will advise later with codes...

George

Pressure test is needed to check for external leaks. Heater pipes can rust out and seep where they are clamped to engine (not hose clamp) also water pump housing gaskets can leak where it attaches to block and heads (there are 4 gaskets)
