Default Tire Wear

What is the life of run flat tires on XLR...how many miles before replacement is needed. What is the average price for a run flat tire. On my 06, two of the tires show considerable wear with 12000 miles.

If your tires are showing that kind of wear at 12000 miles you probably need an alignment. Or your tires are out of balance.

12k is fairly low unless you're doing burnouts or have mounting issues.

As for price, runflats are available online @ Discount Tires or Tire Rack.

Milage-wise, on my CTS-V, the runflats (Goodyear Eagle Supercar) lasted 15k under moderately agressive driving. The Michelins on my XLR have lasted about 30k and will need replacing in a few months.

which two?

if fronts, i say car needs an alignment.
if rears, that might be a heavy foot on the power pedal!
if two on one side, that might be heavy cornering !
