Default should I buy it???

I have a question, and would like your input please. I am thinking about buying a '01 DTS (for $9,00 dollars). The car has just under 70k miles on it. But I have heard these cars have problems with theirLower Valve Body and the Torque Converter Clutch. I am wondering if anyone has ever had a problem with these parts or if there is something else I should know about. Would you buy this car? (I have the VIN number, I just haven't paid for a membership with carfax just yet)
Thanks for your help.

generic opinion.

Cadillac, 70k miles, 6 years old is at its prime. Depreciation has lowered the purchase price to less than 1/2 of new, if car was properly maintained it should be barely broken in.

is $9,000 a good price? what does the KBB say for a "private sale" ?
