Im wondering why I have to go to the top of a thread and click on "Subscribe" so as to be subscribed to a thread and find it again later in "My Forums".

I believe that I have checked the right boxes in "My Profile" for it to happen automatically. But it isnt working.
I have to go to the top of the thread and click the icon every time.

Did I maybe miss something in "My Profile" ?

BTW...I always un-check the "notify via e-mail..." at the bottom of the page when posting.
Is there any way I can turn that off so I dont have to do it every time.

It is very irritating......

Not to mention the fact I havent even gotten a reply. Not even something saying that someone has read this and is looking into it.

 

Since you have not received a reply to your problem, I suggest that you e-mail admin/Patrick directly.

 

once you subscribe to a thread, you get responses forever .. no need to keep tagging it.
if someone "looks" at the thread, you get nothing. there has to be a posting.
if your spam filters are on, you may also get nothing.

 

So why the option in user profile ? The one that asks if you want to be subscribed to a thread automatically if replying (adding) to it ?

I have also found that even though Ive started a thread myself, It wasnt shown in "my forums" when there was a reply (posting).
I had to search the threads. Found there were replies;
Then went to the top of the page and selected "subscribe".

Was wondering and asking if the option in the user profile about subscriptions is/was working correctly.

Also.....
Why should I have to keep on de selecting the "notify by email when someone replies" even though I had already selected the "dont notify by e-mail" in my user profile ?
