1979 Coupe Islander

Has anyone heard of this car? I've seen pictures of identical cars called a D'Marchand but this one has "Islander" emblems. The car was purchased new from Raines Cadillac in Roslyn, NY.

D'Marchand was a $1600 "dealer installed" option, usually referred to as the "Chicago Edition", two-tone silver over black paint and matching two-tone interior.

We have had several dealers over the years namely:
Island Chevrolet
Island Ford

But no dealers named Islander

there is a Cadillac historical thread in the FAQ .. cant remember what is included, I set it up a long time ago .. but there are several links there that may provide answers. Just keep in mind that that thread also suffered damage on the "upgrade" .. :(
