1953 Eldorado Fuel System

I have a 1953 Caddy Eldo , Haven't run it in two years. I need to drain the old gas and replace with new gas. What is required to do this? Do I need to drop the tank , blow out the lines, ? Or could I just siphon it out and forget about the lines. Also, How should I treat the carburetor?

Is the gas just smelly or is it thick? If just smelly, siphon it out. Fill it half way with fresh gas and ad a gallon of denatured acohol. Should help clean the varnish from the carb but not enough to ruin gaskets.
