RE: Hobby Cars anyone?
The Z car is not really a burnout machine. It should make a little over 200 hp at the rear wheels and weights around 3200 lbs. I've run it a the drag strip a few time for fun best run was a 14.6 at 98mph. Only power adders are intake/exhaust and ECU. I've built the car for autoX and small road course work, currently the car has won Central Florida Region (west coast) Solo II championship 2004,05,06, and working on 07 it my class E street prepared. I put full suspension, coilover and adjustable control arms late last year. I'm still working on the setup, I stuffed 275/40/17s Victoracers under the car and wear looks good so far. My initial alignment setting look to be 80+% on the money so I'm working with tire pressures and shock settings until I can determine the changes I want to try with the alignment. That's the hardest part with setting up an autoX car you have a limited amount of times to get the job done. Then you have to wait until the next event to see if your changes were better or worse, but I like the challenge.

RE: Hobby Cars anyone?
That p/u looks like it's waitin for a crate motor.

RE: Hobby Cars anyone?
Yeah, if I can get a Cadillac 365 or 390 in a crate. It's either Caddy power or the original '55 265 built close to '56 2X4 Power Pack specs. That intake manifold alone should be worth about what a good '59 390 goes for. Gonnalower it like they did in '55 (think Barris' Kopper Kart) and drive the hell out of it. It'll be atotally period (mild) custom to about 1960-61 when it's done. Haven't been able to settle on a color yet, but my girlfriend told me it needs to stay the original yellow.

RE: Hobby Cars anyone?
i have a while to go before i get into the tech buiz but i wont to restore old body cadiillacs from the 1960's and up but i haven't really decided wicj will be my first choice but i will keep reaseacheing with the aid of this web site my choice making should be a little eiaser, i'm thinking a 1985 black on black fleetwood... but i also want to take a full body desing like that and in a different project with a different car run one on a track and make it a performance vehicle... but that is in the future if you all think it's carzy i'm serious, go under google and look up "cadillac attack" it should show it i think it's amazing conversion fo an 80's body coupe deville
