235/55/17 on 2006 cts

Can someone tell me if 235/55/17s fit on 2006 CTS? I know the rear is no problem, but i'm trying to make sure the front will clear without rubbing. I recently purchased STS wheels and they came with the bigger tires on them. Can someone help me plz?

55 series may keep you from being able to turn all the way without rubbing. CTS sports come with 225/50/17 so 17's will work. You may have a slight ride issue by going with a bigger sidewall and width though. The front may rub a bit on the turns but not much. I'd stagger it with a 225/50/17 in the front or just invest in new tires and put the recommended plus one size of 225/50/17 or 245/45/17 all the way around it. If it was a Chevy or something I'd say go for it, but you really don't want to lose your "Cadillac" ride.
