Hello , on my latest trip to the drag strip with my 98 sts i was looking to improve on my fastest time, and maybe get to the other end first aswell. My previous best being a 15.13 which for an old car to do what the test figures say was quite pleasing. A custom built rear y and free flowing back boxes had made the car sound like it always should of , but did it do any good on the times, i was hoping for a 15.0. Every time was faster with a best of 14.92. Very happy except it had got a bit hot and had a coolant leak from the expansion tank cap after 2 runs..a break to cool down and all seemed fine. Yes youve guessed it ..lifted head. Anyone else done any good times with a blown head ?

 

blown head gasket usually means no racing until corrected. especially drag racing
