luxury vehicles about to go!! cash for clunkers

Subject: Cash for Clunkers

Thanks to Obama, luxury cars are soon to be a thing of the past.
They have always been beyond my means, but I took out a Cadillac
Escalade last week for a test drive, just to drive that sucker before
they become extinct.

The salesman sat in the back seat describing the car and all it's
wonderful options. The seats were of particular interest.
He explained the seats directed warm air to your butt in the
winter and directed cool air to your butt in the summer heat.

I said the car must be a Republican car. He asked why I thought it was a
Republican car. I explained that if it were a Democratic car the seats
would blow smoke up your ass.

i like it...lol

690000 cars were traded in

Officials at the American International Automobile Dealers Association said yesterday that the government has paid $1.22 billion for 289,000 vouchers. In total, 690,000 requests for voucher repayments worth $2.88 billion were submitted.

Part of the problem is that "any little thing can cause them to reject the request to be paid, and you have to start out all over again. If they can’t read a number on a driver’s license, they send it back and they get another 10 days to wait. You just have to be patient and be a solid enough dealer to withstand it.

Still the Cash for Clunkers program was such a success that the number of new cars and trucks on dealers’ lots has diminished dramatically.

"That’s what happens when you sell 90 days worth of cars and trucks in 30 days,"
