Rick,
old news dating back to 2008 and older. if you read SNOPES to the end, you will also find out that although the Postcard virus is real, it isn't a "BIG VIRUS COMING" (it's already been around in multiple forms for a long time now), it will not "burn the whole hard disc" of your computer, CNN didn't classify it as the "worst virus" ever, and it doesn't arrive in messages bearing a subject line of 'Invitation.' in part, it is a URBAN LEGEND, false. Like many virus, it does exist, but it doesnt do what the email says. http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/postcard.asp the digital drama queens abound on the "Forward this email internet" and I suppose that some get a kick of seeing a few computer people terrorized. now that I said that, lets not forget that this site, Cadillacforum, was brought down by a virus about 2 years ago and has yet to recover, as problems persist. . . |
