CTS 3.6l Timing Chain Knock After Chainging

I recently replaced the timing chain on my 3.6l v6 2009 CTS. I don't think it jumped time but it set a code off related to the cam sensor and research showed it was probably the chain. The car was around 100k miles so we replaced it. We replaced the chains and tensioners (cloyes kit) and accessory belts. When I run the car now I get a knocking noise at idle. One thing that was weird to me was the left bank tensioner behavior. After we had the engine in time we rotated it several times. The left bank tensioner would tighten and then pop back out, making a smacking noise, as the chain turned. I assumed this would go away as oil pressure should hold the tensioner in place.

Is it possible that the tensioner was bad? I'm not sure why else there would be a knock all of the sudden. The oil level, oil pressure, and temp look good. The car runs great overall but the knock at idle is very loud.
