Mr. Rickyd your posts have inspired my registering to this forum, you seem to be very knowledgable about electrical systems in Cadillacs. I have recently acquired a 99 sts , and I'm having some issues finding grounding points on this car. Could you please help . Car is hard to start , but once started runs fine. Sometimes it cuts off while driving. I'm sure there's a grounding issue . I have read a lot of your posts, and know that you're the man when it cones to thus particular kind of issue. The car has moisture in the trunk , if that helps any . And I'm getting codes for service suspension system , ddm , and msm. Please help. Dibbsdesighns

What's up Mr. RidkyD, you helped me out in the past with a fuse#20. I am now having problems with my car running bad. I don't know if it is an ignition pack or IAC valve. My car has a bad mist in it. I can unplug the IAC and it still runs the same bad. I have also lost some power, and if I try to put it on the HWY and pick up speed of about 60 to 70 my check engine start blinking. It all started after I let my brother drive my car for about a week. It did state to me that he had being using a lowing octane of gas. I don't know if that could have anything to do with it or not. But, could you please try and guide me in a certain direction? Thanks for your time. Have a good day!!

Hello, I was just reading your post's about cadillac ghosts in the computer. My car's DIC is re-booting itself, gauges will work, then stop, errors pop up all the time, traction control - security lights come on and off. I think this may be a ground problem, but where do I start? Any help would be greatly apprectiated.

    Thank you,

do you have any suggestions about why the dash lights are black? I've replaced the fuse by the engine but its fine. I don't trust my dealer (there's another across town) or should I find an electrical place? What I was referring to was a thread you answered re: rebooting by disconnecting the - battery.

    Hi,
I got this car from my dad (2000 w/60,000 mls) and took it to my dealer. It seems like each time I take it something else pops up for about $400.00. My friend's bro-0in-law works there and she says he talks about how they mess cars up on purpose so I'm scared to take it back. Right now my dash lights are black and I've replaced the fuse. I see threads you've answered about + and - but can I mess my car up by "trying this at home"??? Thanks!
