Hey everyone

Well I just got an 18 year old escalade with 213k miles for free. I am going to go through the whole thing because I feel like it has been neglected, other than oil changes. I don't know anything about these, I have a ton of research to do. I have only had time to change oil and air filters, and clean half the carpets.

I drove it several miles just to check it out, it has lights on the dash for service ride control and I think tpms. I was told the sensors are out of it. I can hear what sounds exactly like a compressor running when I shut the vehicle off sometimes. I assumed maybe it's always running to fill up the bags or something, but i have no idea. I have a cheap obd2 scanner that I use in my old truck that shows me everything, but I don't know what to use for this vehicle yet.

Seems to run great, the power is all there it's just really heavy, probably hasn't had brakes in a while, and no suspension in the rear it feels like. I played around at a few different speeds and the trans seemed to shift well. If it isn't too difficult I will service the trans and see if there is a kit for it. Can't wait to get the maintenance done and clean it out
