Default Grandmother's 1968 Caddie

My Grandmother's 1968 Caddie has been sitting in my dad's back yard covered in kudzu for years. I'm sure everything is dry rotted, but all the chrome, etc is original. I know this is quite a project, but I'm not interested in making it a show car; just restored and safe as a gift for my daughter.

Where do I start and how do I find a reliable mechanic?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks, Dina
