I need new filler for my 1976 Eldorado - the plastic parts between the body and the bumper
unfortunately, many of these fillers have a terribly bad fit
the rear verticals are too short and then "hover" over the bumper
the rear horizontals are not straight, but wavy
etc. etc.

does anyone have an address where I get "correct" fitting filler ?

I actually had a good experience buying a set of rear pans on eBay for my '84 Eldo .... probably an accident.

The shape and dimensions of parts like this obviously change from time to time and the fabricators of replacement parts often get it wrong. And of course most the sellers are buying from the same source; they often use the same photos in their ads. Even if you send dimensions and other info to a seller they'll probably insist that what they have is perfect. Read their "reviews" if there are any. All you can do is buy thru Paypal using a quality credit card that will investigate/negotiate and insist on free return shipping. Success depends on how many orders/returns you're prepared to endure before you get a correct set.

 

I got the rears for my 85 Eldorado. They are fiberglass. The quality was good and my painter did not have any problems with them.
