Traction Control Engaged

My 2004 CTS navigation screen constantly shows a message stating "Traction Control Engaged"; it stays on for a few seconds and then goes off. But then it will show up again, sometimes after a very short interval. This is in spite of very good driving conditions on dry roads. My dealer's service department have abandoned trying to isolate the problem after about five visits; they say they have to see the message on the screen when I bring the car in, which of course is next to impossible. They have tightened connections and changed some sort of module which has helped a little, but nevertheless the problem persists. Anyone got any ideas short of junking the car (which I am not at all anxious to do). :(

RE: Traction Control Engaged

Have your dealer connect their Tech 2 and go into the chassis section. Have them take a look at the hand wheel speed sensor that is located in the middle of the steering column. This sensor could be intermittent.
