Tire Pressure Monitors

I have a 2016 SRX with 53,000 miles. I have a premium pressure gauge and a cheaper one and they both give same readings. I put the proper 34 Lbs.of tire pressure in all four tires using these gauges. The problem is the tire pressure monitors read about three different readings on the dash, all low. If i bring the tire pressure up to the proper 34 Lbs with the dashboard readings the tires read very high with both gauges. Since I run a good bit of high speed interstate in hot weather should I trust these pressure monitors or my hand gauges ?

Congress, Ford, and Firestone should be sued for inflicting TPMS on American consumers.

Seems sure that your TPMS system has gone out-of-calibration.

You might want to get a Genuine GM service manual for your vehicle and see if there's a calibration procedure; if not I suspect you'll be buying new sensors for the wheels.

Thanks for the reply, I agree. Since I am old school there is no way I would purchase new (unreliable crap) sensors that obviously go defective. I will just monitor the pressure like I have always done my whole life. Planned obsolescence is a terrible thing.
