Stiff steering at speed
I have a 2001 SLS with 170000 mi. and it steers fine at slow speeds but gets very stiff at speeds above 40 mph and pulses when trying to drive around a sweeping corner. If you steer sharper into the corner, it will have less effort for a spit second and then return to its stiff condition. Any ideas?
I also have an intermittent engine stall condition once and a while during warm-up. At a stop light it might just stall out and then when restarting, it cranks for 3-5 seconds before starting back up. Anytroubleshooting on this? Also have a code for the TCC shorted. How long of a job is it to replace the solonoid? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |
RE: Stiff steering at speed
I would think the belt is slipping or the P.S. pump is dying or lacks fluid. Also have a code for the TCC shorted. How long of a job is it to replace the solonoid? |
