Steering Wheel LEDs

1 Attachment(s)
Attached is a photo of a steering wheel volume and station control from a 2001 Seville. The blue light emitting diode bulbs are soldered into a circuit board and are separate from the white base. They do not have a manufacturer marking. Allied Electronics supplies many LED bulbs, but I don't know which one this is.

Does anybody know the manufacturer and type of LED used for steering wheel indicator lights?

Where is this circuit board located? I have 3 lights out on my steering wheel presently.

Steering Wheel Control

There are four switch and LED circuit boards in the steering wheel. The circuit board in the photo is the switch and LED for the volume and station control in the steering wheel. Only the volume LED was dead until I put an ohm meter on the board which killed the station control LED. Now I need two bulbs. I learned from Allied Electronics that you must use static control when installing or replacing the bulbs because they can only handle a very small amount of power.

Which bulbs do you need?

I just replaced both switch modules to fix the problem and give the car new paint on the buttons. It cost a lot more that LEDs would have cost, but it left me with four spare LED bulbs already attached to circuit boards. It is about a 20 minute job.
