I don't have a shop manual for your car but try the lower end of the steering column.

RE: Park Neutral Switch ? 92 Deville Sedan

This is an easy fix. It is located on the transmission toward the back near the firewall.Just follow the electrical connector going to it. It looks like in the shape of almost a square about 5"x5".It should have one big nut on top about a 13mm if i can remember right. then there sould be like 3 bolt around the base of it connecting it to the transmission.also the shift cable connected to it should pop right off with a little tug straight up. well here are the instructionsfor removal per the manual.

1.disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
2.remove the fuel line bracket and bolt. if necessary, remove the air cleaner housing and air intake ducts for access to the park/ neutral switch.
3.unplug the electrical connector from the park/neutral switch.
4.remove the switch retaining screws and remove switch.
5.be sure to adjust the switch before tightening the switch retaining screws. installation is otherwise the reverse of removal.
ADJUSTMENTS:1.place the shift lever in neutral.
2.insert the tan on the switch assembly into the slot on the shft lever.
3.install the switch retaining screws loosely.
4.insert a 3/32-inch drill bit into the service adjustment hole and rotate the switch assembly until the drill bit drops into the carrier tang hole.NOTE: a new switch should be equipped with a plastic adjustment pin in place. If the screw holes will not align with the holes in the shiftlever assembly verify that the shift lever is in neutral. DO NOT rotate the switch. if the switch has been rotated and the pin is broken, adjust the switch usinga drill bit as described.
5.tighten the switch retaining screws securely to the torque recomended.
Hope this helps
