I've been told that the only parts that will fit a 67 are from a car made in 67 only nothing newer or older will fit , like bumpers, fenders, interior pieces and so on, basicly if it wasn't built in 67 nothing will work for it. I don't know if this is true or not

That's probably true to a certain extent. Every year, certain items/components were changed, most of it cosmetic, so the cars would look "new", compared to the previous year's models. I certainly doubt that every part on the '67 is " '67 only", but there may be quite a few pieces that are. However, a cosmetic difference doesn't mean the parts/components will not interchange...they may just look different, but function the same way. I can't say for sure which parts on the '67 would be '67 specific, tho. I'm not familiar enough with them to know if the fenders from a '66 will fit, and look exactly the same...

I never really dealt with a older american car, been a german car guy for awhile so this is relativley a new experiance for me, So i've been going by what some of the places that i called for parts say.
