My 97 Eldorado cranks too long before starting

New here and hope someone can help me. My 97 Eldorado cranks for approximately 6 to 8 seconds before it fires up. Cold or hot and doesn't matter if it sits all night or for 10 minutes. No check engine light and no codes. I just bought this car and it sat for a year or so in a garage before I acquired it. Runs perfect all the time. It cranks for about 6 or 8 seconds and when it starts it bows a little rich smelling smoke for a few seconds. All most everytime I start it this happens but not as bad when engine is up to temp. Does this sound like a crank sensor(s) or possibly a fuel pressure regulator ? Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: Replaced fuel pump relay and fuel pressure regulator and problem solved. Replaced them at same time so I don't know witch one was the problem. Suspect it was the regulator, it was sitting on my workbench this morning and when I picked it up fuel dripped out where hose attaches.
