hello first of all hello to everyone,i just bought a 1981 coupe,it still has the original 368 engine in it,but it looks terrible,i want to remove it and swap it with another engine but i want some:)thing simple to work on that fits right in please help.my friend has a chevy 350 in his but his motor mounts came loose because they were welded,i dont want or need those kinda problems,any advice will be well appreciated,thanx in advance.:cool:;):)

There is a fair mount out about sbc swap, just search it. 368 could be simpler also, if car is DFI you will need to remove most of engine wiring and related sensors. If you do if carefully you could resell many of the DFI parts, and re-coup some of your costs over time. 4 barrel carb and intake along with non-DFI distributor should be fairly easy to find in salavage yard.

thanks slowroll,ive decided to go 350 chevy one belt it seems simpler alot of my wires are dry rotted so im pull that bad 368 and see whats going on,thanks again.
