Head lights flash when i crank my car.
 

I recently bought a 1999 deville. But when i turn the key on or start it. The head light and tail lights flash. Jow do i stop this.

Is the car starting? Does the car have an aftermarket remote start?

It starts and runs fine. But they flash for about a min. I beleave it is something to do with the factory alarm. But im not sure. And to my knowledge. It is completly stock

The dash lights don't flash, just the head and taillights?

No codes. Dash lights dont flash.

I beleave this will be the last cadilac ill own. Its always somethung with these cars. And parts are extremly over priced. Now its blowing steam and running hot.

It's an 18 year old car, you can't expect it to be trouble free.

the overheating and smoking would be the larger issue. Have a CO test to verify head gaskets are not blown. Voltage dropping to BCM would cause lights to flash, but would set a code. Are you using OBD to check for codes.
