My garage door opener LED is not functioning on overhead console on my 09 CTS4, no matter what buttons or sequence I push. I am familiar with these and how to set them as 2 of my other vehicles have them, this one is just 'dead'. I just purchased this car after 11 years of my faithful (except the head gasket, of course SLS)
I took down the console and the transmitter has a number on the back, like it came from a re-saler (AKA junkyard).
Any thoughts?

If it came from a retailer maybe it's poor quality or missing pieces. My advice is to try another one or contact the seller if you can and ask for a replacement.

 

I think that it's counterfeited, or it's defective. If you say that the two other consoles you have, work just fine, then the problem is in this one for sure. You'll have to replace it to know for sure or try to fix it. I have a Jack shaft garage door opener, and in five years, I had issues with it only once. I looked for garage door experts in my region and I found some guys that fixed it in less than a few hours. This is what I recommend you to do, to contact an expert in the sphere, and ask for advice.
