Freeze plugs...

I have to replace these on my 78 Coupe Deville, do I really need to lift the engine off the mounts to get to them?

if memory serves me right, the rear freeze plugs are your biggest challenge.

Some shops take a short cut and cut a hole in the floors to get to them.
and if you can believe it, it is acceptable practice, meaning you can even sue them and win and they still hit you for the full labor hours dictated by the book to pull the engine. Still you cant win in court.

a long ways of saying, pull the engine or cut through the floors?

Thanks for the reply. Looks like the engine gets lifted.
