Electrical Mystery
I have a 2011 and this past spring we had an issue with something on the car draining the battery over a 2 week period. After I bought a new battery and having that one charged a couple of times I took it to the dealership. The dealership ran a drop test and said the radio was causing the battery to drain out. So after I purchased a new radio ($1200.00). Everything worked fine for about 3 months, but the other day my wife was driving the car and the horn blew 4 times on 3 different occasions. The HUD went up and down and the air conditioner cut off. Thankfully she made it home. I bought a good battery charger and charged it overnight. It completely charged but still will not even attempt to start but the inside lights come on when you open the door. One thing was very curious though. I noticed that when I got the last battery cable connected that I heard a little fan kick on even though the car was not started. I wonder that could be an issue. Has anyone else had an issue similar to this?
