code ipc u1066 2003 deville

My deville with 57,000 miles stalls once or twice weekly at idle or low speed. Quickly restart and no more problems for another week or two. No misfires at high speeds and has never stalled above 30 mph. I have read all earlier poste about possible cause cam, crankshaft sensors, fueil pump etc. Only code set is ipc u1066 (loss of communication with rear integration module). Local dealer wants $340.00 to install two new crankshaft sensors.
I can get both sensors at parts stores for $75.00 or $150.00 depending on the brand. My question is could the code u 1066 result from bad crankshaft sensor? what type of wrench is needed to remove and replace the sensors ( i have looked and its a tight area to get to). Is the relearn procedure necessary? I would still need to get dealer to do this? Trying to get as much info as possible before going forward.
