cadillac fleetwood 96

anyone know how to disable the traction controll?

not the traction controll in the glove box but the in dash traction controll that always engages when the back wheels spin?

Sounds to me like you have Posi-Traction rear differential. One of the most desireable perfomance features any powerful rear drive car could have. It would cost you a fortune to remove it and replace it with an open rear end. I am sure you could find an open rear end from a Caprice or Roadmaster in the junk yard but it would be a bad idea in my opinion.

ive got a 94 fleetwood and its got an openend differential. i turn the traction off through the glove box and then the light only comes on to let you know that the traction is turned off. is this what your talking about, just the light coming on the dash that say "traction control"?
