Default spupptering at cold start

My 98 Cadillac deville has started to sputter when i start it when its cold then when it warms up it will go away. I bought the car this last summer at 125,000 miles and now i'm at 130,000 so it never did it before and i haven't changed the plugs or wires yet. can anyone tell me what may be causing this?. The car also started to make a lite taping sound from the engine, think it sounds like a lifter but not sure. It sounds louder when i first start it in the morning then will go away a little, any help will be appreciated.
