Default 1983 DeVille ??

Today I looked at a brown 1983 DeVille it runs and drives. It has been sitting for approx 10months tho. Starts right up...it will need a paint job tho...It needs the rear bumper fillers. I looked at the frame no rot or rust...There is an issue with the blower....It will need weatherstriping around the doors...no dents body does have some rust tho...Oil is full and looks ok, trans fluid looks good... but the antifreeze may have issues I opened the cap and it was full but it looked black so I squeezed the top hose to push some fluid out then it looked sorta green...My question is how much should I pay for it....How hard are the fillers to put on ?? What does the condition of the antifreeze mean...

Parts can start adding up when it comes time to work on a car that has been sitting awhile. I'd say $2000- $2500 tops if it's in decent condtion. Parts like fillers are quite easy to acquire and install. What engine is it 6.0 or 4.1l ?? If it's the 6.0 I have all the info on that one.

It is a 4.1....does the bumper have to come off to install the rearfillers ?

Yes rear bumper has to come off but I did mine by myself, just have several blocks handy so bumper can stay at the right height and not drop to the ground. It's also a good time to clean out the years of gravel and dirt inside the bumper channels. Be aware of the number and position of the shims between bumper and mounting bolts so they can go back the same way when reinstalling bumper. Good luck.
