93 Cadillac Coupe Deville driver side window issue

Hi I recently became the owner of a 93 Coupe Deville, it has seen better days (hit a deer, been rear ended, with the bumper taking 95% of the damage) my driver side window was working g just fine, till one day I went to put it up and it didn't want to move at first.... I pulled up a bit on the window and then it started going up, only the rear of the window was moving and tilting the front down....... I was thinking that I may have shut the door a bit to hard with the window down and it simply slipped off the track.

I want to know if I could be that lucky or is there more to it??? Are these particular cars prone to having this issue??? Just looking for some direction. Ty

What it sounds like is one side came off the track. You will need to remove the door panels to see what is going on. It sounds like the regulator is OK, the window just came off the track. It could be the part that holds the window broke, or it could be simply off the track.
