89 brougham

hey guys new to the forum so a little background on my situation. ive got an 1989 brougham with a 307 v8 now my problem is its burning about 3L of oil every 700 km so its shot. im in the process of finding a new engine for it but am unsure if i need to stick with an olds engine or can i use a chevy engine? if chevy will work then do i need different engine mounts ect. this is not my first swap just never had to deal with the whole olds chevy thing. any help you can offer would be greatly appretiated.

Olds 350 or bigger would be easier as long as it's not a drag type engine, THM200R4 isn't up to real horsepower, not that there maybe a builder who can make one. SB chevy will work you will need more stuff... 91-92 engine mounts and brackets, acc. brackets as nec.,trans,...etc. If you can get an ex PD cruiser for a donor car it would be worth the chevy change over. Myself I would go the Olds 350 or non W30 455 route.
