2005 DTS intermittant wipers quit

Howdy, this is my first post. My 2005 DTS has a few problems, but the one I want to address today is the intermittent wipers. Is there a relay that I can change myself? On any intermittent speed, they just won't run. Only rainsense, and constant low and high work properly. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

disconnect and reconnect wiper motor connector

Thanks

I tried what you suggested, but no go. I disconnected the multi plug going to the wiper motor. Do I need to get to the motor itself? I tried it with the key off, then on, then with the engine started. Do you have any more tips? Thanks for your reply!

Motor cover/pulse module does have a history of failing from water intrusion, however it does not appear to be serviced separately at this time. It would be part of the motor assembly.

Thanks Slowroll!

Is a motor replacement worth doing myself? I'm no mechanic, but I can do that much, I think. Suggestions? Is the resistor/timer a part of the motor, or the lever in the cabin? A happy new year to you!

timer is part of motor, costs may dictate professional diagnosis. pick n pull type salvage yard would let you try removing and replacing motor to decide
