Default 2002 Cadillac Deville - idle problem

Hi,

My idle is consistently racing or dropping to where the car stalls. I have to continue to give the car gas sometimes while stopped at a red light or it stalls.

I have attached a few pictures of the piece on the intake I need to replace but do not know what's its called. It seems to be a piece that enters the motor has a hole.

If I spray engine cleaner on the problem area the idle is instantly corrected why the hole is plugged.

Any recommendations are appreciated.

I have replaced the Throttle Position Sensor, Mass Air Flow, Filter, cleaned the manifold.

Thanks,

Al

It would be the "intake boot". Aftermarket will sell it in kit form GM will sell boot and intake seal kit separately. EGR gases will burn hole in underside of boot.
