2000 Eldorado - HVAC issues! HELP! Blower Fan INOP!

Hi. I have a 2000 El Dorado ESC. A few weeks ago, my heater fan was working, slowed and then a poof of smoke out the vents.. Shut down... Tried again, blower worked! Days later, again, puff of smoke and electrical smell... Blower quit.. SO, I pulled the blower. I opened it up and found some of the windings green...I assumed the blower was junk.. it was fair weather so I drove that week.. Speed at 55 got me AC. Then I noticed the passenger side was HOT, like the passenger side is on heat, my side was cool.... So, i began looking for a new motor... found one, known to be good... and hooked it up, nothing. no op. Tried 2 more, nothing... Tried the HVAC, my side changes temp, hot to cold, and the dash output switches from floor to vents, etc. I have NO HEAT, NO DEFROSTER unless i go 55mph. Did I smoke my HVAC Control too? The passenger side is stuck on heat... I looked for a fuse, found the common and the maxi fuses under the hood. None are for the fan! HELP!
