very easy, no special tools needed.
Coils should have numbers that match the cylinder they fire. Front bank is 2 4 6 8 left to right rear bank is 1 3 5 7 left to right |
RE: 1997 sedan deville diy replace ignition wires
Hey bwickes: What kind of help do you require with the plug wires???? It is a pretty basic operation, you do one plug wire at a time , that way you won't screw up your timing sequence. If you are doing the distributor cap at the same time you would leave the plug wires attached but remove the cap and pull it to one side. Then proceed to replace the plug wires one by one and pay attention as to the location of each wire on the old cap as you put a new wire into the new cap. After they are all done then you can put the wires into the clips that hold the wires off the maniflod etc. Good luck, Don.
