1994 Deville Contours
 

Picked up a Cadillac Deville from a local auction. Looks good. Body is straight. Belonged to someone who passed and had it stored for 16 years with other cars. 86000 original miles. I had problems from the get go. Traction Disabled flashes on and the Service Engine Soon light stays on. It drove rough like it was starving for gas and idled rough. I did stop and get gas. After about 20 miles everything changed like a switch. And it drove like it was gliding on water. Very smooth. Checked the error codes and the current codes are:

Haven’t had a chance to drive it since. I wanted to try and figure out what was wrong first. The radio works but no sound. And the antennae does not deploy. Any advice is highly appreciated for the codes and Traction Disabled warning. I thought it was strange that the speakers and antenna also don’t work. Maybe fuse related?

If the check engine light is on it will disable the traction control. I034 is the code for loss of power train control module data. The other codes are communication codes with the abs and traction control. Problems with the serial data lines. This will require some one that is knowledgable in wiring to fix, in other words not a project for the home mechanic. My guess is that a rodent ate some wiring while it was being stored. About all you can do yourself is look at all the wiring and see if you see any damage. Check around the wheel speed sensors, abs unit and the pcm.
