I recently purchased a 1992 Cadillac Eldorado, which the previous owner parked 2 years ago because he couldn't shut off the alarm. He unplugged the horns, and would drive the car with the lights flashing for about 3 minutes. I have pulled and replaced every fuse under the hood and in the trunk that I can find that pertains to the security system. even the large fuses under the large plastic cover, but nothing works. When I think I have it disabled, the car won't start, as in the starter won't engage. I would like to either permanently disable the system, or at least make if functional. It seems that it becomes "armed" when I use the power door locks. I really don't want to go to the dealer. I am able to do some mechanical work myself. Thanks!
