Supercharger??

I have a 1993 Cadillac DeVille 4.9L V8 and I was wondering if it would be possible to supercharge it. Please let me know, and if it's not possible, what performance mods could I do to it to make it alot quicker than it is.

Thanks

anything is possible. there are outfits that do nothing but what you ask.

however, check your state laws to see what you can get away with.
that EPA crowd can be tough.

Gearing can make your car quicker. Look into changing the final drive ratio. You want one that is numerically higher which are known as low gears, something like 3.08, 3.11 or 3.73 were all available on the FWD GM big cars from time to time I believe.

You can also get a dual type exhaust system installed and look at a different air intake set up, an open element air filter. Look to other GM big cars for systems they use to get ideas. Bonnevilles always had a throaty dual tail pipe set up, after market suppliers offer better flowing systems too. Better sparks and ignition wires can boost a few ponies too.

If you get a 3.73 gear try to locate a manual overdrive for highway driving. Will save gas. I had a 3.73 gear in my El Camino but the overdrive I bought would not fit and I had to send it back. It's worth looking in to.
