Seized Spark Plug Northstar Engine
 
Good Morning to All,

I have an 2005 Cadillac Deville with a V8 4.6 L Northstar engine that has around 85,000 miles on it. The mechanic is pulling code of a misfire at the 3rd cylinder, but is reporting he cannot remove the spark plug to make the repair,as it is seized. I am reaching out to see if anyone has come across this situation and could give us some direction....it would be greatly appreciated.

seized spark plug occurs often on older engines. don't force it, it will strip the threads. I suggest squrting penetrating oil (not wd 40) near the plug base an run it till hot - try again. vinn
