99 Seville limp mode bypass

I have a 1999 Cadillac Seville that i have turned into a bump and run figure 8 track car, it ran great the first race and got me a trophy but on the second it got too hot and went to limp mode, is there a way I can eliminate or bypass the limp mode so I can get back to winning trophies until the ol' caddy decides to give up on me

if it is getting that hot, no you need to deal with the cause of overheating. Northstar will run highway speeds turning 4-4500 in the summer without a hitch. You could add toggle switches to run fans all the time. Make a scoop below core support to force air in to radiator. remove ac condenser if its there.

So there is no way to eliminate ate the limp mode, the overheating is going to happen pretty much regardoes of what I do, it's 15 laps around an extrememly muddy coarse so the car is working far harder than 4500 rpms on the highway, the fans on a toggle switch is always done for every bump and run car I build, core scoop was an idea however it will just funnel more mud into the radiator

You need to come up with some kind of baffling to protect radiator. How hot is getting and how fast? Can you relocate radiator? and oversized heater core may help if it doesn't burn you out of car.

Radiator relocation is illegal, temperature depends on what heat I'm in earlier heats are muddier and work the car harder later heats are drier and allow me to get up and get going and get ahead, then feature races are muddy, I heated up about lap 12 of 15 in the feature and couldn't get over 2500 rpm which dropped me to 4th, http://www.eagleparkmichigan.org/scramble/ ....... here's the sight if you want to see rules of the race.... I thought about a 2nd dual fan setup I. It as well to pull more air .... I run with LBRT (low budget race team) meaning we are trying to do these builds as cheap as possible, I do however have access to a full mechanic shop

Michigan in winter how could it get hot? Make sure lower edge of bumper is sealed to core support. It will force air to radiator vs allowing mud in and air to go under car. I would block off grille and try to pull air from head light opennings

The races are June-September so it's warm outside, and that's a good idea I will have to try that and see what happens thanks for the help, if you have any other idea's pop into your head throw em up, the better my car is the more fun I have
