The XLR has never had champagne. It's called shale or cashmere, depending on the year.

04-05's had ebony, grey, and a greyish (for shale interiors) dash pad. If you want to learn all about the interior color combinations, go to eBay and punch in "Cadillac XLR". You'll be able to check out loads of high-rez photos of all years and interiors. Be warned, the light colors end up looking pretty dingy as they age, and show the slightest dirt. My ebony interior always looks good.

DON'T let the low(er) 04-05 buy-in prices fool you. This is still a $75,000 car when it comes to repairs and you don't want anyone other than a certified/trained XLR tech touching one. Headlights are almost a grand each.

A good bargain is a car with a clean maintenance history (any dealer should be able to run the VIN and print it out) at a price you can afford. Jump the gun without doing your homework (by reading as many posts on all the XLR sites as your eyes can stand) and you are likely to end up with buyer's remorse. That being said, they're great cars, but like super models, there's more than looks at stake. You still have to be able to live with them.

There are many types of interior but it depends upon you what would you like to install in your car,as you discussed about the Mashale, its a good one and suits in your car,so apply it.
