Sls struts on a sts 1998-2004? Is it possible?

Has anyone ever considered doing a strut swap from SLS to STS?
I own a 1998 STS and as we all know the price for new struts all the way around is boo-koo bucks:mad:. Not cheap but worth it. To save some money but lose some performance is it possible to order a new set of struts from the same year SLS and install them easily? I know that Arnott sells the resistor for the Traction Sensing CPU to default and create no codes at the cluster, so there fore by theroy it should work magically....right? Anyone who may hold the answer please help me the thousands of STS owners.

It can physically be done and passive struts are out there. GM doesn't recommend it so there a no disable instruction from GM. It wont matter whether STS or SLS they are both electric you will need non OEM struts.
