scrubbing sound

I have a 00 STS, I hear a loud scrubbing sound on the right side by the wheel, it sounds as if it could be on the "wheel well" but it's not..........
I changed the brakes so that's not it............I was told it could be my "Bearings". Has anyone had this issue or does anyone have any advise.............

Thanks

RE: scrubbing sound

Hey Peace:: Jack up your vehicle to take the weight off the tire is question and then with the tire in the air grab the top of the tire with one hand and the bottom with the other and try to wiggle the tire in and out. If there is any play there it will most likely be your bearings. If you have tires on the car that are larger or wider that stock, then look on the frame or the torsion bar for a shiny spot where the tire might have been rubbing. Good luck man.
