Phone For The 01 STS ?

Apparently my 01 STS Came with a phone. But I believe the original owner kept it. When I purchased it at the dealer there was no phone. But there is a clip to hold the phone.

I never thought anything of it. I didnt care seein as I have a phone.
But now Im wondering ?
Can I set up the hands free etc..with the phone I have ? Back in 01 was it Bluetooth ?
And if so, can anyone explain how to do it ???

Sorry but forget it, back then there was no digital service like we have today so you are dealing with old,no longer in use analog technology in your 1991 Caddy.

hey your question deserves an answer no matter what the question so don't feel bad about asking a question.

you would think that by now, considering the millions of cars with analog circuits, someone would come up with a USB or digital adapter and make the hook ups to all the new equipment.

they did it on TV, so why not cars.

Since i dont listen to the radio i use a preset station and a $10 FM transmitter and plug it into my blackberry when im in the car. if someone calls i hit the answer button and flip from CD mode to fm radio and talk that way. i hear the person through my speakers and they can hear me. Just dont do it if your significant other is angry and starts yelling. May cause a scene for you since others can hear if the windows are down.

exactly my point.

i also use a cigarette lighter powered FM modulator ($25), it has a USB port and a 1/4" audio input plug.

anything with an USB or 1/4" audio output can be sent to the FM unit.

and the audio industry cant do that on a permanent adapter?
