Ok, give me the dirt.

I'm thinking of buying a 93 sts and want the dirt on these things.

Their prices can range drastically according to the milage on them which worries me. Makes you think these are lemon cars but I know better and I'll tell you why. I have a 93 Lincoln Mark VIII. I bought it in 2002 for 1500$. (had 140k) The car was ahead of it's time. It was one of those cars that had all kinds of automatic stuff going and turned out to be a very dependable car with only one drawback. The airride was something that broke down after 8 10 years but that one problem has been fixed in the years since the cars been out. It's such a dependable car that even when I buy a new car I'll keep my mark viii. They are beutifull cars inside and out to my eyes.

The intresting thing and the one thing that makes me relate it to the cadillac sts is that the resale price of these cars are way down. for cars coming off the lot at 45k they are resold for drastically lower prices. When compared to acuras sold new at 20k and then resold 10 years later for 4=5k the math doesnt add up. I know the cadillac sts is a fine car. My buddy's dad had one in highschool and it ran like a dream. The norstar engine would cruise at 110, but now that I look back at the car I'm wondering if there's anything I should know. Do the headgaskets give out at 150k or are there any reacurring problems with these cars I should be aware of.
