Mystery Seville STS

Hi, I'm Jim. Live in Michigan. I bought a 1999 Cadillac Seville a couple of weeks ago.

At least, it looks like a 1999 Seville...except it has rear wheel drive. Valid Michigan title says '1999 Cadillac Four Door; with no model listed in the available 'Model' space.

I'm unable to find any reference to a rear wheel drive Seville prior to the Sigma architecture change in...err...2005?

Do I just have bad info, and there was some way to sort this out, or heck, I dunno.

Anyone who can help here would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jim

NorthStar transaxle?

Jim
What engine sits in your 99 Seville?
That's going to help with identification.

Welcome to Caddie ownership!

Engine is...

...a Northstar. Feels like a standard 4L60 automatic transmission.

There were no rear wheel Cadillac cars in 99 besides the suv/truck line up. If its a Seville its front wheel drive sounds like the title needs redone and filled out properly. Easy way to see if its front or rear is do a burnout! ;)

Or when you pop the hood if the engine looks like --(horizontal) not like |(vertical) then its a fwd.
