I know that this has been beaten to death....
 

I have an 05 STS, 82k miles, with the bose sound system. I went to start the car and the radio will turn on but no sound; its says personalization error, the blinkers dont make any sound. My amp fuse is not blown and disconnecting the battery and touching the terminals didnt fix it.
I know that there are dozens of posts about this and there are a lot of suggestions on where to look but none of the posts that Ive read have the owner posting on what the problem actually was.

Can anyone who had this problem tell me if replacing the radio like the dealer says fixed the problem? Or was it something else?

I have same problem in my 05 sts. I did not have the probleb til a month after replacing the nav system. All fuses are fine, only the front door speaker work and sound muffled. The blinker have no sound. This car is an electrical nightmare problem after problem started with 35k miles.
